Yes. Even old ECUs with tiny amounts of memory contain very complicated processing. But that is why fuel injected engines run so much better than carburettor.  Smiley

The Evoscan logs you sent me are very good. I am confident that all of the parameters we have are correct.

Do you still want me to try and find the remaining parameters? I think they will be hard to find, but I have a few ideas to try before I admit defeat. If so then is it possible for you to dump the RAM while the engine is running? There is only 1K, so it should take about 2 to 3 minutes per dump.

I mean hold the RPM constant at about 1500 and run

ecudump -f 1500rpm.dat -s FB80 -e FF7F

When it has finished, do it again at 3000rpm

ecudump -f 3000rpm.dat -s FB80 -e FF7F

Then send me the files 1500rpm.dat and 3000rpm.dat

Yes sure, i would like you to find the remaining parameters if possible (thanks in anticipation). I will try to send you the requested files by end of this week.

I am already planning to set up a permanent mini pc and 7" TFT in the car to monitor real time data!

You mentioned a diagnostics manual. Does it have an electrical pinout of the ECU?

is it a problem if i start the ecu dump some addresses before FB80?, since i need some time to get in the car and throttle up the revs.

I'm confused Huh?

Do you mean that if you type the command

./ecudump -f 1500rpm.dat -s FB80 -e FF7F

then it still dumps 0000 to FFFF ?

I don't blame you to be confused, since i tried to mess up with your program. I did not know it was so easy to do it.

So all i have to to is to type "./ecudump -f 1500rpm.dat -s FB80 -e FF7F", instead of "./ecudump"

Sorry for that

Alex

Thanks for the applause. I'm actually quite surprised at how much we have achieved in such a short space of time.
